Make sure you have a bag full of snacks!
A very literal translation but in my experience, 3 lines love to snack! They love to keep feeding their energy. This is a 3 line thing afterall, they want to experiment. Keep a little selection of snacks handy to feet yourself nourishment through the day. You might also want to check your digestive variable. For example, my partner is a Kitchens environment with Light Digestion, and he literally snacks on cashew nuts (beige, light) all day! They keep him going!
Regular watercooler / office kitchen natter breaks
The whole kitchens environment in Human Design thing is about ‘bumping’ into people and making chance conversation. If you’re not in an office, maybe consider taking a walk to the local shop at lunch or working from a coffee shop for a bit of time in the week. Kitchens environments need people around them to collaborate with in someway, so if you work remotely, consider how you can make that happen.
In person and online creative places to hang out, like Pinterest, scrap booking, knitting cafe or bookstore
I love this tip for kitchens environments. They’re creative humans, they like colour, they like variety, they like a little spice. So as you consider your right environment, what collaborative space are you REALLY drawn to? Your mind is likely busy with many ideas all the time, because you’ve got that 3 line busy and experimental element to you, so be smart and use scrapbooks or journals, or online use Pinterest or Trello boards, to organise your thoughts and ideas a little more. In person? Figure out your favourite places to go to. I’ve never met a Kitchens person who doesn’t love a coffee shop, just saying.
Video calls and in person meetings rather than emails & texting
Texts, emails, whatsapps, probably aren’t going to cut it for you. Instead try and switch your work and personal conversations to voicenotes or video calls. You’ll get that connection element a lot better and you’ll be able to ‘bounce off’ others conversations and get that little buzz of energy you need. How can you create a ‘kitchens’ environment, one that’s collaborative and brings all different elements and ingredients together, in the way you communicate at work and in friendship groups, for example?
Working the word ‘variety’ in everything you do
Variety is the spice of life for Kitchens environment in human design. Think about the traditional kitchen. It’s a place where different ingredients come together to create something beautiful, flavoursome, different, unique. You can’t make bread with just flour. So consider how you can bring more variety and flavour into your life to make it more peaceful, satisfying, successful, or inspiring.
